Our Story

Pasta Runs in Our Family

We are high school sweethearts, married for 18 years with 3 kiddos. Steve has been in the food industry for over 15 years. Prior to that, he traveled the world in the Marine Corps. His food often reflects the style and flavors of his experiences. Steve shared his creativity and talent with the Max Group for a decade, starting off with Max a Mia as a line cook, moving to Sous Chef at Trumbull Kitchen, and then thrived as Executive Chef back at Max A Mia. While being at the helm of Max a Mia, they won best of Farmington Valley in 2017 & 2018. Steve left the Max Group upon the arrival of our third child, deciding to serve as Head Chef at Camille's Wood Fired Pizza where he could continue to create new and interesting cuisine while spending time with his family. For the past three years, Steve has been able to share his passion for food with his community. They are also currently nominated for Best Restaurant in Tolland County and in Connecticut. Now, we are taking Chef Steve on the go for events and catered affairs. We look forward to working with our clients to create an individualized menu that caters to their own tastes and vision. 

 

Wonder how we stumbled on our name? One night, Ashley did a letter scramble of their first 2 letters of their first names and last name and that's how Saults, LLC was formed. The definition, which means to leap, perfectly fit the leap of faith we are taking by creating this business around the food and memories we love to share with others.
